Silverbacks Basketball is Coming to Northern Valley!

For the first time ever, Silverbacks Basketball is bringing its nationally recognized player development program to Northern Valley!

 

Founded in 1996, Silverbacks has spent nearly 30 years helping players become confident, skilled, and successful both on and off the court. Our alumni include high school record holders, college standouts, and even NBA players.

 

Boys currently in Grades 1–10 are invited to try out this fall.

WHAT PLAYERS RECEIVE THIS FALL

  • 14 Team Practices (Wednesday–Friday)

  • Hoop Heaven League + Playoffs

  • 2 Competitive Tournaments

  • Full Membership to The Shooting Zone in season ($400 value)

    • Unlimited access for extra shooting reps all season.

      • Shooting Session with Jeff Graham

  • Season Begins: Week of September 8th – 11th

  • Season Cost: $895 includes uniforms (New NV Silverbacks Reversible Uniforms with Shooting Shirts)

Coach - Kris Quintana

A player development coach with experience at the NBA G League, Division I, and international levels. Specializes in skill development, film study, and individualized growth plans, with a proven track record of preparing players for success at the highest levels of the game.

Experience

  • NBA G League (Westchester Knicks & Greensboro Swarm): Helped develop NBA-level talent including Trey Burke, RJ Barrett, and Kai Jones

  • USA Basketball: Contributed to five junior national team gold medals, working with elite prospects such as Cooper Flagg and Chet Holmgren

  • Oklahoma State: Former video coordinator with a key role in player development and advanced scouting

  • New York Liberty & St. John’s University: Experience in professional and collegiate basketball operations, scouting, and coaching

Coach - Pete Brown

A former professional player and collegiate coach with international experience, Coach Pete brings a global perspective to coaching. With seven years of professional playing experience and a strong coaching background at Don Bosco, he is passionate about teaching the game and helping young players build confidence, skill, and basketball IQ.

Experience

  • Professional Playing Career: Seven years competing internationally in Canada, Mexico, El Salvador, and Ireland

  • College Basketball: Division I scholarship athlete at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro; former assistant coach at Virginia University of Lynchburg (DII)

  • High School Coaching: Coached Don Bosco Prep’s freshman team for three seasons, winning a county championship

  • International Player Development: Founded and operated a skills academy and basketball camps in Ireland for players ages 6–17

  • Youth & Club Coaching: Coached U17 and U12 teams in Ireland to league championships
